The 2009 USL W-League Combine

TAMPA, FL – USL announced today the dates for the second annual USL W-League Combine. The event will be held Thursday, September 24 through Sunday, September 27 at Ed Radice Sports Complex in Northwest Tampa, Florida.

“Improving on an event that sent 35 players to seven WPS franchises will not be an easy task,” said USL Combine Coordinator, Amanda Duffy. “Our overall objective in 2008 was to get as many W-League players as possible into the WPS Combine and eventually into WPS preseason camps. We have had a lot of success as our players continue to fill WPS rosters throughout their inaugural season.”

Players invited to the 2009 USL W-League Combine will be selected through an application process which begins today.
