Islanders Win 1-0 in Toronto, Head Home for 2nd Leg

The USL continues to find success in the CONCACAF Champions League while Major League Soccer continues to struggle. Last night in Toronto the Puerto Rico Islanders defeated Toronto FC 1-0 in their first leg CCL Qualifying match. Goalkeeper Bill Gaudette was once again outstanding for the Islanders and Kendall Jagdeosingh continued his CCL heroics with the lone goal.
The series resumes Tuesday in Puerto Rico where Puerto Rico will have the chance to qualify for the group stages of the tournament with a win or draw.
